I am Jean Paul NKURUNZIZA, On June 22nd 2007, a have been elected as the chairperson of the Burundi Community Telecenter Network : BCTN( the French name of the network is : Réseau des Télecentres Communautaires du Burundi = RTCB). Nowadays, we are doing the registration process as a non profit organization. We hope the process will have been finished at the end of March 2008. From 2006, I have been committed to the promotion of the telecenter in Burundi by working in a network. With my colleagues, I trying to promote the multiplication of telecenter initiatives and projects in Burundi. This because we are convinced that telecenters will be the central actors in the plan of vulgarising ICT for grass root development in Burundi. From February 18th to 22th 2008, I am attending the Network staff exchange program in Kampala with colleagues from Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. My expectation in this meeting is to learn about what services offered by other stronger networks so that we can how to adapt them to Burundi.
