Damas Ogwe works at Ugunja Community Resource Centre (www.ugunja.org) in Siaya District, Kenya as a Information and Community Media Officer. The job entails information and documenmtaion. UCRC presently produces a quartely newsletter, monthly online newsletter and more recently, Siaya Peace Weekly which is a weekly online publication. Damas has been seconded by UCRC to the Kenya Network of Telecentres www.ken-tel.org. UCRC is presntly hosting the Ken-Telsecretariat. Damas' vision is to a vibrant telecentre movement which capitalizes on ICT4D. Regarding the staff exchange Damas says, "it provides an opportunity for sharing of ideas and goals. education in whatever format has no end and through this exchange, we are so far getting to learn from each other and also planning on the way forward. Many hands certainly makes work light".
